I have been in the IT Industry for the past 15 years. Most recently managing a Help Desk at Cerner Corporation. I am passionate about leadership and sharing ideas with other IT professionals. Hello HDI Members in the Heartland!  It is so great to be able to talk with you.   I realize some of you may be new to HDI and some of you may be veterans, but let me take a moment to introduce you to HDI and the HDI Heartland Chapter.

I have 20 years of customer service experience with 11 of that in IT Service Delivery for Federal and DOD customers. I have experience in Knowledge Management, SvD Training, Analytics and Reporting, Technical and Policy writing etc. I look forward to meeting other IT professionals and sharing ideas through HDI.

Stephen Sellaro is currently the Sr. Service Desk Operations Center Manager for

the Moonshot Solutions Service Desk. Responsible for Daily Operations

over the Moonshot  Service Desk and its personnel. The primary

responsibility is to ensure that end users receive the highest level of

customer care and service possible. This includes, and not limited to, the

responsibility of managing all processes and procedures related to the

identification, prioritization, and resolution of end user service requests.

This includes the monitoring, tracking, and coordination of all service desk

functions throughout the enterprise.  Stephen has been involved with HDI for

over two decades. Stephen attributes many of his successes in his career to HDI

and has made wonderful friendships and work-related connections.

With two decades of rich experience in the IT sector, specializing in both SMB and enterprise solutions, troubleshooting, and customer service, I have consistently excelled in delivering impactful IT solutions and services. My career is marked by roles that demanded high technical competence, leadership, and client advocacy. My expertise in network design and implementation, system management across various platforms, and strategic disaster recovery planning has repeatedly proven beneficial for both my teams and our clients.

In my current role at IT Solutions, I serve as a Systems Engineer where my responsibilities encompass being the face of IT Solutions to our clients, working escalation tickets, and implementing projects that bring clients into alignment to the IT Solutions standards and best pratices.

At IT Solutions, I have honed my skills in overseeing complex IT infrastructures, recommending solutions, and leading high-performance teams. My efforts have significantly improved system reliability and operational efficiency, directly contributing to our company's ability to meet and exceed our service delivery commitments.

Before joining Umbrella, I had the opportunity to shape IT strategies and operations at notable organizations such as Eagle Communications, Technology Group Solutions, Compass Minerals, GVL Poly, and ISG Technology Inc. These experiences have equipped me with a deep understanding of the IT industry, enabling me to effectively manage vendor relations, incident management, and ensure compliance with ITIL processes.

My academic background, with a bachelor’s degree in information Networking & Telecommunications from Fort Hays State University, further solidifies my technical base, while leadership roles and achievements like being an Eagle Scout as well as serving as an assistant Scoutmaster in a Troop and serving on leadership teams for United Way and Optimist local chapters. These opportunities have developed my soft skills and community engagement.

In summary, my extensive experience across the IT landscape, combined with my technical capabilities and strategic vision, positions me as an asset to any organization. As a part of IT Solutions, I am excited to leverage my knowledge and skills to drive innovation, optimize operations, and contribute to our collective success.
